Solar Initiative

In September 2019, we launched our first solar power initiative, a 224 solar panel array generating 81.76 kW-DC on our flat roof. Solar power is a renewable energy source that reduces our overall carbon footprint. We are proud that our solar array will generate almost 50 percent of our energy usage which will equate to significant financial savings every year.

We worked closely with Resonant Energy to organize a hybrid ownership model with Collective Sun. Boston Solar was the installer of our solar panels. Mara Bloom, President, would be happy to share our excellent experience with going solar and can be reached at president@reyim.org.

Greening the earth is a major part of our mission of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. In the future, we look forward to expanding our solar array and continuing other efforts to green our shul.
