Greening our Shul

In 2014 we undertook a capital improvement to save electricity by changing our incandescent & fluorescent lights to Light Emitting Diode fixtures and bulbs which saves approximately 1000 kw/h of electricity each month. More recently we began diverting our trash away from the landfill and separating out recycling & food compost as we continue to green our shul.

We have also started a community garden. Help us grow vegetables and herbs in our community garden. It is a great family experience. We have tomatoes, peppers, squash, basil, rosemary and mint, with space for much more!

Please share with us your ideas. We’re always working to improve!
